Overview

The India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is seeking proposals from Government-aided and Non-profit Schools in India for Arts-Integrated Projects under its Arts Education programme, Kali-Kalisu. This initiative aims to enhance teaching and learning by integrating arts into the curriculum, making education a more engaging and joyous experience.

Objectives

Proposed projects should aim to:

  • Connect local art forms and cultural practices with classroom learning and teaching.
  • Integrate arts processes into the learning and teaching of all subjects.
  • Include students' lived experiences in classroom learning.
  • Collaborate with local artists and community resources.

Funding Information

  • Maximum Funding: Rs 4,00,000/- (Rupees Four lakh)
  • Duration: Minimum of one year to a maximum of one year and six months.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Type of Institutions: Government-aided or Non-profit schools located in non-metropolitan areas.
  • Institutional Requirements:
    • Must work with local languages and prioritize arts and culture in teaching and learning.
    • Should be registered under The Societies Registration Act 1860 or The Indian Trust Act 1882.
    • Must have been operational for at least three years.
    • Should have audited financial statements for at least two years.
    • Must possess a valid Permanent Account Number (PAN).

Proposal Submission

  • Languages: Proposals can be submitted in any Indian language, including English.
  • Exclusions: Incomplete proposals and those not meeting eligibility criteria will be disregarded.
