Call for Expression of Interest: AgriVoltaics Adoption Program

About the Program

The AgriVoltaics Adoption Program will bring together farmer groups, FPOs, and distributed renewable energy (DRE) companies to set up small and large-scale demonstration sites. These sites will test different crops, ownership models, and business approaches, providing valuable insights into how AgriVoltaics can work across India’s diverse agro-climatic zones.

Key Components

• Knowledge Sharing: Tools, templates, technology blueprints, and exposure visits

• Seed & Viability Funding: Support for micro pilots and scalable farmer-owned models

• Capacity Building: Training on crop planning, subsidies, and AgriVoltaic technology

• Demonstration Sites: Farmer-led pilots showcasing diverse crops and geographies

• Research & Evidence: Field-based case studies to inform future policies

Who Can Apply

We welcome EOIs from:

• NGOs, researchers, and networks with farmer/FPO outreach

• Renewable energy companies and individuals working with farmers

• Organizations with FCRA certification (eligible for grants)

Applicants must show:

• Strong experience in agriculture, renewable energy, or farmer training

• Proven reach among farmers, FPOs, or agri-networks

• Ability to set up pilots, mobilize cohorts, and deliver training

• Commitment to evidence-building and long-term farmer benefits

Scope of Work

Selected partners will:

• Form farmer–FPO–DRE cohorts and organize residential trainings

• Deliver capacity-building sessions in local languages

• Establish demonstration pilots showcasing crop and geography diversity

• Document evidence on farmer income, food security, and crop outcomes

• Create case studies and learning resources for scaling adoption
