• Short-term carbon storage with high risk of reversal.
• Projects involving living biomass carbon storage (covered under nature restoration).
• Non-carbon greenhouse gas removal.
• CCS projects involving fossil carbon or CCUS projects with re-emission risks.
• CDR services (e.g., MRV providers) not directly removing carbon.

Funding Details

• Past Purchases: Ranged from $150,000 to $300,000 per supplier.
• 2025 Purchases: Sums may be higher for select suppliers.
• Data Sharing: Suppliers are encouraged (and sometimes required) to share data with scientists or the public (e.g., Enhanced Rock Weathering suppliers contributing to the Cascade ERW Data Quarry).
