Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN)

• Founded in 2002 at the United Nations, GAIN is a Swiss-based foundation focused on combating malnutrition globally.
• Works with public and private partners to deliver nutritious foods to vulnerable populations.
• Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with offices in Bangladesh, Canada, Denmark, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Tanzania, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
• Develops alliances to create sustainable solutions for food security, providing technical, financial, and policy support.

Nutrition Connect (NC)

• An initiative of GAIN aimed at mobilizing knowledge, sharing experiences, and promoting public-private engagement (PPE) for food systems transformation.

• Supports governments, businesses, civil society, and academia by facilitating partnerships and sharing best practices.

Introduction

Objective of the RFP

The purpose of this RFP is to identify and select a specialized service provider for the redesign and management of the Nutrition Connect website, integrating relevant components and content from the Innovative Food Systems Solutions (IFSS) project.

The redesigned website should:

• Align with Nutrition Connect’s strategic objectives and GAIN’s overall mission.
• Improve user experience, branding, functionality, and accessibility.
• Strengthen the platform’s role as a leading knowledge hub for decision-makers in public-private partnerships and food systems transformation.

Background and Current Issues

The current website (Drupal 9) has usability, design, and functionality challenges. The revamp will address:
✅ Branding alignment: Adjust fonts, spacing, and branding consistency.
✅ Improved backend: Enable separate user logins, clearer publication/update dates, and better content management.
✅ Homepage and Resource Center reorganization: Enhance navigation, remove outdated content, and add clear calls to action.
✅ Better search functionality: Provide detailed, relevant search results.
✅ Video integration: Ensure seamless embedding and accessibility.
✅ Social media integration: Improve links between Nutrition Connect’s online presence and website traffic.
✅ Ergonomic UI/UX improvements: Create a modern, user-friendly interface for Nutrition Connect & IFSS websites.
✅ Enhanced Learning Platform: Upgrade the user login system with latest features for a better learning experience.
✅ Content integration: Merge the most valuable innovation-focused content from IFSS into Nutrition Connect.

The selected agency will be responsible for assessing, redesigning, and delivering a state-of-the-art website.
