About the Initiative

The Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) was established during COP 2015 (Paris Agreement) to support the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) implementation.

ICAT Focus Areas:

  • Transparency frameworks for mitigation
  • Monitoring and evaluation for adaptation
  • Tracking progress on NDC implementation
  • Assessing climate policy impacts
  • Estimating GHG projections
  • Integrating subnational and non-State actor climate actions
  • Building tracking systems for just transitions
  • Establishing climate finance tracking and data systems

ICAT Tools and Support:

  • Practical, open-source tools for climate transparency
  • Tailored methodologies for over 50 developing countries

Scope of Work

Objective:
To develop and deliver self-paced e-learning trainings that enhance understanding of the ICAT Climate Finance Transparency Guide and facilitate effective implementation of climate finance transparency frameworks.

Responsibilities

  1. E-learning Module Development

    • Provide expert guidance and substantive input for a blended training course module on climate finance transparency under ETF.
    • Ensure the module is engaging, easy to understand, and aligned with the ICAT Climate Finance Transparency Guide.
  2. Standalone E-learning Course Development

    • Design a self-paced course enabling easy access and understanding of the guide.
  3. Webinar Facilitation

    • Conduct an interactive webinar with course participants to complement the e-learning materials.
