The Britannia Nutrition Foundation (BNF) is the CSR wing of Britannia Industries Limited, dedicated to combating malnutrition and anemia in vulnerable communities across India. BNF collaborates with NGOs, government bodies, and community stakeholders to implement sustainable, impactful programs that enhance nutritional awareness, strengthen service delivery, and support beneficiary well-being.
Program Objectives

Reduction of Wasting in Intervention Areas:
- Providing nutrient-rich supplements and improving dietary practices.
- Strengthening community health initiatives.

Reduction in Low Birth Weight Cases:
- Improving maternal nutrition and antenatal care access.

Strengthening Service Delivery Mechanisms:
- Enhancing facility resources and process efficiency.

Capacity Building Through Training:
- Training frontline workers and community volunteers to enhance service effectiveness.

Improving Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices (KAP) on Nutrition & Hygiene:
- Community awareness programs to drive behavioral change.
Program Locations & Target Beneficiaries
- Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh: 50,000 beneficiaries (children 0-5 years, pregnant/lactating women, school children).
- Khordha, Odisha: 14,000 beneficiaries.
Scope of Work
- Securing Approvals: Obtain necessary approvals from relevant government authorities.
- Registration & Screening: Register 50,000 beneficiaries in Shivpuri and 14,000 in Khordha for growth monitoring & BMI tracking.
- Monthly Monitoring: Conduct regular health assessments for Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) / Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) children.
- Nutrition Supplementation & Kit Distribution:
- Provide nutrition supplements for SAM/MAM children.
- Distribute kits to anemic pregnant women & lactating women with low BMI.
- Data Collection & Reporting: Submit monthly progress reports to BNF.
- Stock & Distribution Management: Oversee distribution of Britannia’s iron-fortified biscuits in schools & Anganwadi Centers (AWCs).
- Volunteer Training & Mobilization: Identify and train women and student volunteers.
- Infrastructure & Logistical Support: Ensure proper facilities at schools and AWCs for effective service delivery.
- Stakeholder Training: Conduct capacity-building sessions for frontline workers & community stakeholders.
- Financial Reporting: Submit fund utilization reports and annual audited financial statements.
Eligibility Criteria for NGOs
- Prior experience in Health & Nutrition domain.
- Operational presence in the targeted district/state.
- Submission of required documents as per Annexure 2.
Proposal Submission Requirements
NGOs should submit a detailed proposal covering the following:
- Organization Profile: Introduction to the NGO (max 1000 words).
- Past Programs: List of programs implemented in the last 3 years (Annexure 3).
- Implementation Plan: Detailed execution plan for the program.
- Budget Details: Provide a detailed budget breakdown using the format in Annexure 1.
- Required Documents: Attach all documents listed in Annexure 2.
- Timeline & Gantt Chart: Outline the timeline & activity schedule for the project.

- Late submissions will not be considered.
- Separate proposals must be submitted for Shivpuri & Khordha.
