Program Structure

  1. 9 Month Full-Time Program:

    • The ACT Fellowship spans nine months, designed to provide an immersive apprenticeship experience. Fellows learn how venture capital principles can be applied to philanthropy, gaining hands-on experience in the social impact sector.
  2. 4 Impact Spaces:

    • The fellowship focuses on four key areas:
      • Ed-Tech: Projects that aim to improve educational outcomes using technology.
      • Public Healthcare: Initiatives that enhance healthcare access and quality.
      • Climate Action: Efforts aimed at addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainability.
      • Gender Inclusivity: Programs that advocate for gender equality and empowerment.
  3. 40 Hours/Week:

    • Fellows are expected to commit 40 hours per week. The work involves various activities, including:
      • Sector Research: Analyzing and understanding different sectors to identify impactful opportunities.
      • Dealflow Sourcing: Identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities.
      • Due Diligence: Assessing the viability and impact potential of projects and organizations.
      • Investment Pitches: Preparing and presenting investment proposals.
      • Portfolio Management: Managing and supporting the growth of the portfolio of projects.
      • Impact Assessment: Evaluating the effectiveness and social impact of the projects.
      • Collaborative Programs: Working on joint initiatives with other fellows and partners.
      • Industry Events & Partnerships: Engaging in networking and learning opportunities through industry events and partnerships.
  4. 6 Fully-Funded Fellows:

    • The program is highly selective, with only six fellows chosen for each cohort. This selective process ensures a high-quality peer-learning experience, where fellows can learn from each other and contribute to a collaborative environment.
