Eligibility

  • Country: Open to all countries except those on the US Department of State’s “State Sponsors of Terrorism” List. Priority is given to 75 identified countries with high/medium-high opportunities for national impact on PM2.5 data gaps.

  • Country Location: Prioritizes applications from 75 countries where a single monitoring effort can have a national-level impact.
  • Project Relevance: Must generate and share PM2.5 data over 12 months and create national-level impact through additional activities.
  • Data Sharing and Transparency: Full, open access to air quality monitoring data is required.
  • Likelihood of National Impact: The project should aim for systemic national-level impacts on air pollution, beyond just data collection.
  • Experience and Long-term Commitment: Preference for candidates with proven experience or a compelling plan to address knowledge gaps and a commitment to long-term air quality monitoring and impact.
  • Team and Collaboration: Preference for teams capable of achieving national-level impact and connecting PM2.5 data to a larger set of stakeholders.
