RFP for City-Wide Contactless Cleaning in Noida & Greater Noida. HCLFoundation seeks proposals for waste management, citizen engagement, and high-suction cleaning.
1. HCLFoundation
- Organization Description: HCLFoundation is the not-for-profit arm of HCLTech, focusing on delivering the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in India. Through various flagship programs and special initiatives, it works to bring sustainable and lasting change in communities across India, particularly in areas related to education, health, skill development, environment, and disaster risk reduction.
- Key Programs: HCLFoundation implements five flagship programs—Samuday, HCLTech Grant, Uday, My Clean City, and Harit—and four special initiatives—Power of One, Sports for Change, Academy, and My E-Haat.
2. My Clean City
- Program Objective: Launched in 2019, My Clean City is focused on improving solid waste management in urban areas with the goal of transforming cities into litter-free zones.
- Geographical Focus: This program primarily operates in Noida and Greater Noida, covering Residential Welfare Associations, Urban Villages, and Markets.
- Activities: Activities include capacity building for stakeholders, awareness campaigns, and implementing technological solutions for efficient waste management.
- Citizen Engagement: The program emphasizes engaging residents to foster behavioral change regarding waste management practices.
3. Purpose of the RFP
- Goal: The RFP seeks to collaborate with an organization that can lead on-the-ground efforts in Noida and Greater Noida to manage waste more efficiently. The project aims to eliminate garbage hotspots and legacy waste, with a strong emphasis on citizen engagement.
- Citizen Engagement: Engaging citizens is key to the project's success, as behavior change can significantly enhance waste segregation, collection, and recycling efforts.
4. Objectives of the Project
- Cleaner Environment: The project focuses on discouraging illegal waste disposal practices and encouraging proper waste management within the community.
- Resident Awareness: Another major objective is to increase awareness among residents to promote responsible waste disposal and recycling habits.
5. Tenure
- Project Duration: The selected partner will collaborate with HCLFoundation for a period of 12 months, executing the project to meet the outlined objectives for solid waste management and citizen engagement.
6. Who Can Apply
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Not-for-Profit Status: The applicant organization should be a not-for-profit entity with valid 12A and 80G certificates.
- Experience: The organization must have relevant experience in solid and liquid waste management and in running communication and behavior change campaigns.
