Overview: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is inviting young talents who are passionate about using the power of sport to address social challenges in their communities to apply for the IOC Young Leaders Programme 2025-2028. The programme spans four years, allowing participants to develop a sport-based programme, project, or social business that provides a localized solution to a pressing community issue.

Programme Phases:

  • Phase 1: 4-Week Learning Sprint

    • Completion of the 4-Week Learning Sprint is required to be eligible for the programme.
    • The sessions will take place from October 22 to November 12, 2024, every Tuesday.
    • Learning materials and session recordings will be available on the Learning Hub starting October 15, 2024.
  • Phase 2: IOC Young Leaders Programme Application

    • After completing the 4-Week Learning Sprint and earning a Certificate of Participation, candidates can apply for the programme.

Funding Information:

  • Year 1: Ideation, research & development – CHF 1,000
  • Year 2: Design & Launch – CHF 5,000
  • Year 3: Project Scaling – CHF 3,000
  • Year 4: Sustainable Execution – CHF 1,000

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Requirement: 20-28 years old in 2024.
  • Completion of the 4-Week Learning Sprint with a Certificate of Participation.
  • Submission of a plan for a programme, project, or social business using sport as a sustainable development tool.
  • The plan should address an existing community issue aligned with the UN SDGs and incorporate Olympic values.
  • Minimum Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of work experience (internships and part-time jobs are considered).
