Program Overview:
The Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Programme, in collaboration with Buddy4Study and the Indian Dental Association, aims to provide financial support to meritorious, underprivileged students across India pursuing 4-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses in government or government-aided colleges.

Funding Information:

• INR 1,05,000 per year for 4 years
• The scholarship covers academic expenses such as tuition fees, hostel fees, food, internet, mobile, laptop, books, stationery, and online learning.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to students pursuing their first year in the BDS programme from government or government-aided colleges only
• Minimum of 60% in Higher Secondary Education required
• Annual family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources
• Pan-India students are eligible to apply
• Children or family members of employees of Haleon, IDA, Give India, and Buddy4Study are not eligible

Selection Criteria:
The selection process will be based on academic merit and financial background and includes the following stages:

1. Initial shortlisting of applicants based on academic merit (60%) and annual family income (less than INR 8,00,000)
2. Document verification of shortlisted candidates
3. Telephonic interview evaluation by IDA and Buddy4Study
4. Final list of selected candidates prepared by Buddy4Study and IDA

Application Requirements:

• Marksheet of the previous class/semester
• Government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Driving License/PAN card)
• Current year admission proof (Fee Receipt/Admission Letter/Institution ID card/Bonafide Certificate)
• Family income proof (Government-issued documents such as tax return, income certificate from local administration, EWS certificate)
• Bank account details of the applicant or parent
• Photograph of the applicant

Continuing Scholarship Requirements:
Starting from the second year, scholars must submit:

• Academic grade report of the last exam passed
• Character certificate from their college
