About the Programme
The Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is a recruitment initiative that aims to:
- Improve geographical representation within UNESCO
- Promote gender parity at the international level
- Offer talented, highly qualified university graduates and young professionals from non- and under-represented Member States an opportunity to join UNESCO early in their careers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Candidates must be from non- and under-represented Member States at UNESCO.
- Age: Applicants must be 32 years or younger.
- Education: An advanced university degree in fields such as education, culture, science, social and human sciences, communication, or related areas. Relevant fields will be specified in the vacancy announcements.
- Languages: Fluency in English or French is required. Knowledge of both languages is an asset. Knowledge of Spanish, Russian, Arabic, or Chinese is also beneficial.
- Experience: Initial professional experience is considered an asset, though not mandatory.
