Program Overview

The Technology Innovation Hub Foundation for IoT & IoE invites proposals for its AgriTech Demo and Funding Scheme. This initiative aims to foster R&D, address challenges, and fill gaps in the IoT and IoE sectors while promoting advanced technology development in Agriculture.

Themes and Problem Statements

Proposals are invited from researchers in academia for projects addressing the following themes:

  1. Theme: Pre-harvest management

    • Problem Statement: Sub-Inadequate soil health assessment and inefficient irrigation practices.
    • Solution: Incorporate soil sensors for real-time data collection and IoT platforms for decision support.
  2. Theme: Agricultural produce storage facilities and distribution network

    • Problem Statement: Sub-optimal storage/warehousing facilities and distribution networks.
    • Solution: Develop IoT solutions to minimize post-harvest losses and enhance storage methods.
  3. Theme: Post-harvest management

    • Problem Statement: Enhancing post-harvest management practices.
    • Solution: Demonstrate IoT-based solutions for climate-smart storage and efficient cold chains.
  4. Theme: Market Intelligence

    • Problem Statement: Lack of reliable information on inputs and market prices.
    • Solution: Develop IoT solutions providing farmers with timely information on inputs and market dynamics.

Funding Information

  • Project Grant: Up to Rs 2 Crore
  • Duration: 6-18 months

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Proposals can be submitted by researchers from Academia (Research Institutes, Labs, Universities) with established support systems for research.
  • Institutions must have recognition (NAAC/UGC/AICTE or equivalent).
  • The Principal Investigator/Project Leader must manage the technical and managerial aspects.

Application Requirements

  • Proposals can be submitted for multiple projects; however, each must have a separate application.
  • Must use the prescribed format for:
    • Project Proposal
    • Presentation
    • Milestones and Budget
  • Applicants may upload a 2-minute video showcasing the technology or product.
  • An Endorsement Letter of support from the academic institution must be included as per the prescribed format.
