About SBI Foundation

SBI Youth for India Fellowship is a 13-month-long rural development Fellowship program, recognized as the flagship program of SBI Foundation, in partnership with 13 reputed NGOs. The Fellowship commenced in 2011, and since then, 580+ alumni have completed the program, with around 60% transitioning to social sector organizations. Many alumni work in CSRs, NGOs, Academia, and prestigious organizations such as J-PAL, ILO, NITI Aayog, etc. Others have joined globally acclaimed universities like Harvard, Oxford, LSE, IDS, and over 30 alumni have set up social enterprises inspired by their fellowship projects.

About the Proposal

Valediction Ceremony: Scheduled for 03-05 November 2024 for the outgoing batch of 2023-24.
The ceremony will bring together both cohorts (Aug & Oct) to share their project experiences and insights gathered during their Fellowship.

Objective:

SBI YFI seeks to onboard an agency or consultant(s) with expertise in career transition-related processes for the SBI YFI batch of 2023-24. The engagement may be extended up to 3 years subject to review and performance.

Batch Composition:

• Total Fellows: 54 (Female- 33, Male- 19, Cis Woman- 1, Trans & Non-binary- 1)
• Backgrounds: Law, Architecture, Management, Engineering, Medicine, etc.
• Thematic Areas: Education, Environmental Protection, Alternate Energy, Health, Rural Livelihood, Self Governance, Social Entrepreneurship, Water, Women’s Empowerment, Technology, Traditional Craft

1. Capacity Building Workshop
2. Readiness to Apply for Jobs
3. Interview Preparedness & Career Counselling
4. Communication Development (for Jobs) Sessions
5. Outreach Support to SBI YFI Team for Valediction
6. Virtual Talks on Diverse Careers in Social Sector
7. Knowledge Support
8. Ancillary Support

Expectations & Requirements

• Professional Experience: Individuals deputed by the agency/consultant must have at least 15 years of professional experience, with a focus on the development sector.
• Previous Official Experience: Must have prior official experience in CV review and/or job interview panelist roles.
• Budget: The proposed budget should be exclusive of out-of-pocket expenses such as travel, lodging, and boarding. Expenses will be made according to instructions from the Youth for India team.
• Proposal Submission: The agency/consultant must submit their proposal after mapping their offering with all 8 sub-requirements. Include scope of engagement, team composition, finances, list of inclusions/exclusions.
