Summary of the Project

The project focuses on creating a video series and documenting case studies that highlight SELCO Foundation’s financial programs. The content will showcase the impact of these programs on local communities, particularly in enabling access to sustainable energy, improving livelihoods, and fostering economic development.

SELCO Foundation’s finance initiatives scale Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) solutions across various livelihoods. The video series will explain key concepts such as leverage, affordability, and the use of subsidies to engage stakeholders including government bodies, NGOs, and multilateral organizations.

Goals and Objectives

• Highlight the impact of SELCO’s financial programs on marginalized communities.
• Showcase the collaboration between SELCO Foundation and financial institutions.
• Emphasize the role of DRE solutions in improving livelihoods and reducing energy poverty.
• Promote awareness of innovative financing in achieving sustainable development.
• Document case studies for replication of successful models.
• Simplify financial models through human narratives that help audiences understand complex concepts.

Scope of Work

• Location: Multiple regions where SELCO Foundation’s financial programs are operational, including Karnataka, Odisha, and Northeast India.
• Requirements:
  • Proven track record in video documentation, especially for social causes and community development.
  • Experience in financial and community development projects is a plus.
  • Must provide full-length documentary, short clips, interviews, script and storyboard, subtitles, and raw footage.
  • Team with script-writing expertise and ability to coordinate site assessments.
  • Travel required to regions in Karnataka, Odisha, and Northeast India.

Selection Criteria

• 5-8 years of experience in video documentation.
• Strong project management skills, including delivering full-length documentaries, short clips, interviews, and more.
• Ability to deliver high-quality content within the specified timeline.
