The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, in collaboration with MyGov, is hosting a Painting Challenge to encourage budding artists to depict the importance of courage, resilience, and peer support in fighting against substance use.
About the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA):
- NMBA aims to combat the severe social, psychological, and physical issues caused by substance use.
- The initiative covers prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, aftercare, public information dissemination, and community awareness.
- Initially targeting 272 vulnerable districts, NMBA has now expanded nationwide, impacting over 12.71 crore individuals.
Theme:
- The theme of the competition is "Towards a Drug-Free India".
- Participants are encouraged to represent healthy and drug-free lifestyles, the balance of mind, body, and spirit, community support, well-being, and holistic health through their artwork.
Prize Information:
- 1st prize: INR 15,000/-
- 2nd prize: INR 10,000/-
- 3rd prize: INR 5,000/-
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to all Indian citizens.
- One entry per participant. Multiple entries will lead to disqualification.
Submission Requirements:
- Each entry must include a brief description (50-100 words) (in English or Hindi) explaining the concept behind the artwork and how it encapsulates the essence of NMBA.
- Entries must be in PDF format.
- Artwork can be hand-drawn sketches, paintings with any medium, or illustrations.
- Participants must ensure that their MyGov profile is accurate and updated, including details like name, photo, complete postal address, email ID, and phone number. Incomplete profiles will lead to disqualification.
