Scheme of Financial Assistance for administering Road Safety Advocacy and awards for outstanding work done in the field of Road Safety

1. Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant organization must have completed at least one road safety or advocacy/awareness-related program in the past three years.
  • The completion of such programs must be supported by relevant documents such as sanction letters, payment release letters, or audit reports confirming payments.

2. Submission Process:

  • Proposals can only be submitted online through the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways' portal (https://rsa.morth.gov.in).
  • The portal will be open from 23rd September 2024 to 22nd October 2024.
  • No hard copies or physical submissions will be accepted.

3. Required Documents for Proposal Submission:

  1. Experience Details: Include details and proof of prior road safety projects.
  2. Financial Proposal: Submit a budget with clear cost breakdowns, including all taxes, expressed in INR.
  3. Work Orders/Contracts: Provide work orders/contracts showing the scope of work completed in previous projects.
  4. Baseline Data (if applicable): Submit relevant baseline data for proposed activities.
  5. Technical Proposal: This must include:
    • Project approach and methodology
    • Specific location and target audience details
    • Details of planned activities
    • Expected outcomes and innovative techniques to be used
  6. Specific Location/Coverage: Avoid generic proposals; specify exact locations and target groups.
  7. Project Theme: Focus on one road safety theme and detail the scope of work around that theme.

4. Reasons for Non-Selection (Appendix-I):

To ensure the success of your proposal, address these common reasons for rejection:

  • Lack of experience or documentation
  • Poor financial proposal
  • Absence of work orders or technical details
  • Vague location/target audience
